This page is maintained by Techgeniee to answer common privacy questions about the Viswa portfolio and blog ("the Site"). We collect as little personal information as we can while still letting you read, subscribe and reach out.
1. What we collect
Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we store your email address and the timestamp of consent. That's it.
Local-only data. Theme preference and per-post view counts live in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device.
Server logs. Standard request logs (IP, user-agent, path, status) retained briefly for abuse prevention.
No third-party trackers. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no behavioural fingerprinting.
2. How we use it
- Deliver the newsletter you opted into.
- Operate, secure and improve the Site.
- Respond when you email us directly.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data — ever.
3. Legal bases (GDPR)
We rely on consent for the newsletter, and legitimate interest for security logging and core site operation. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to support@techgeniee.com.
4. Your rights
GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA (California) give you the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email support@techgeniee.com with subject "Privacy request". We'll respond within 30 days.
5. Data retention
Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days. Server logs are rotated within 30 days.
6. Subprocessors
Hosting and edge delivery on Cloudflare. Email delivery via a transactional provider configured with strict data-processing terms. Names of current subprocessors available on request.
7. Cookies
The Site does not set marketing cookies. A first-party preference cookie may be used for theme/session continuity; it stores no personal identifier.
8. International transfers
Data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where EU/UK personal data is transferred, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses with subprocessors.
9. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
10. Changes
Material changes will be announced on this page with a fresh "last updated" date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
